Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions on lot travelers, operation instructions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, sample assemblies, and follow verbal instructions to determine specific duties relative to assembly.

  • Assemble chassis, racks, and other final assembly hardware, and install finished assemblies or subassemblies in them.

  • Operate equipment and tools relative to accomplishing assembly, stuffing and prep of prefabricated electronic assemblies and other electro-mechanical components.

  • Adjust or trim materials or hardware to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

  • Perform online go/no-go fit testing to ensure specified parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

  • Test operations include setting up and performing operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands. This activity uses hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools to obtain desired performance results.

  • Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instruction and configuration changes.

  • Perform assembly tasks such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, labeling, taping, marking, painting, crimping, riveting, soldering, pressing and fastening screws or bolts.

  • Assemble basic material and hardware to wire boards or chassis.

  • In managements absence works directly with Production Control or other Supervisors to address urgent needs, minor schedule changes and other unplanned events.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency required, plus four years experience in an electronic assembly environment.

  • Soldering experience required. IPC-A-620 certification preferred.

  • Lean Manufacturing (5S) experience preferred.

  • Candidate must have basic computer skills and previous experience using an electronic shop floor control and/or document system.

  • Must be very organized with a high attention to detail.
