We are seeking a highly qualified Design Engineering Manager to join our team at our Lenexa, KS location. As a leader in environmental engineering, we are dedicated to protecting water and people through innovative solutions in wastewater management.
Responsibilities :
Provide day-to-day management of the design engineering group, focusing on new product ideas and conceptual design
Oversee and participate in the development of mechanical, hydraulic, power transfer, and structural designs, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives
Collaborate with other departments to establish scopes for new designs and address existing design concerns
Assist in the development of standard systems and products, ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes
Write and/or revise maintenance manuals and product instructions to support product designs
Provide support for Manufacturing, Sales, Field Service, and other departments within the Company
Basic Hiring Criteria :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience managing a technical Design Engineering Group
Periodic travel required (15 to 25%)
Desired Qualifications :
Experience in product development and manufacturing systems
Proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD/SolidWorks
Strong communication skills and ability to present professionally
Knowledge of CFD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and MathCAD is a plus
